Currently you can purchase the EXP810 and drives to upgrade the storage; the issue was not being able to obtain the licenses to make it work as they went EOL in March of this year.

IBM has put an order exception process in place to allow you to upgrade your customers for a short period of time.

With hundreds of DS4300 in the field, many of you have sold those units and have had requests for these licenses in the past. Call those customers; sell them the upgrades and licenses today before it's too late.

I have included the FULL list of DS4300 licenses, but this is an exception ordering program which means some products may not be available depending on when the order is placed.

PROCESS: Please email ibmsolutions@techdata.ca with your request; we will get the part number activated as well as confirming the pricing. Through your CRBP you will need to request an exception order with some specific details which we will post on the BLOG on the right side (DS4300 Upgrades). Once you’re given the approval you then can place the order with Tech Data. ETA on this will be up to 4 weeks once the order is placed since IBM is not stocking these, but getting them from LSI.
