OVERVIEW:

The 4 Gbps, 450 GB/15,000 rpm FC E-DDM (#5416/part number, SEO 44X2450) is available for the following DS4000 series models:

• DS4700 Express Models (1814-70A, 1814-70H, 1814-70S, 1814-70T, 1814-72A, 1814-72H, 1814-72S, and 1814-72T)
• DS4000 EXP810 Storage Expansion Units (1812-81A, 1812-81H, 1812-81S, and 1812-81T)

DS4000 Storage Manager V9.23, or later, and controller firmware version 06.23, or later, are requirements to support the new 4 Gbps, 450 GB/15,000 rpm FC E-DDM options.

Planned availability: September 5, 2008

Compatibility

The 4 Gbps, 450 GB/15,000 rpm FC E-DDM (#5416/part number, SEO 44X2450) is compatible with the following DS4000 models:

• DS4700 Express Models (1814-70A, 1814-70H, 1814-70S, 1814-70T, 1814-72A, 1814-72H, 1814-72S, and 1814-72T)
• DS4000 EXP810 Storage Expansion Unit (1812-81A, 1812-81H, 1812-81S, and 1812-81T)

Limitations

NEBS-3 compliance certification for the 450 GB/15,000 rpm FC E-DDM (#5416/part number, SEO 44X2450) is planned for October 2008 completion.
